It amazes me that we can switch channels to watch baseball/basketball and hockey without too much confusion. I guess a lot of years of channel surfing was good for something.

Seen replays of it....I came to the US and NYC June 70' and while I got into the Yankees relatively quickly, it was probably a year or two later that I started following basketball......loved hearing Marv Albert's Luuuuuuuuuuuuuucas, YES !!!! Wonder how many 3PTs guys like Bradley and Lucas would have racked up ..........

When was the last time the the Knicks are playing better than the Yankees. For the most part the Knicks are handling the weak teams well and playing the upper levels teams tough. I hope we will say the same for the Yanks soon.

Excited about the Knicks ..... how weird is that ?
They are playing well and gaining composure in the last few minutes of the game.
What is puzzling is that after a string of brilliant games, RJ has really tailed off !! Sophomore jinx ? Injury ? Anyone with an insight ??

I came to the US and NYC June 70' and while I got into the Yankees relatively quickly, it was probably a year or two later that I started following basketball. Glad you got it right, roger, because, as you know, when you got here, the Amazin' Mets were reigning WS champs, and even some Yankee fans were caught up in it all (you couldn't escape it in the papers, etc.) -- whereas, while the Yanks had a pretty good season that year, it was right in the midst of a pretty crappy run, where they played .500 ball for several years but were an improvement over the sub-.500 teams of the latter '60s. Still, it was the Mets' time to shine for a while, before they plummeted back to where they belonged. Surprised you didn't get caught up in the hype over the Knicks at the time, with them just off of their great championship vs. the Lakers. My favorite Knicks team to this day. (Clyde, my fav player, had 36 points in Game 7.)

ironically, I initially lived in Yonkers and associated Yonkers with Yankees. Eventually, moved to Queens, but it was too late....Dah Yankees were engrained in my brain.
I actually got into the Knicks in 71' I think and kept my own box score !! My favorite player (still) is also Clyde !! Used to love watching ABA J Erving driving down the baseline for a twirling layup or dunk !!

I remember Game 7 vs. Lakers in 1970 - I had just got home to Spring Valley from Philly the day before at end of junior year at Penn. I had choice of avoiding score and watching replay of game at 11:30 (blacked out live as it was a home game), or listening to Marv on the radio. Decided to listen to Marv - right call - loved it - and then could watch at night without stress. Pop enjoyed watching it with me. How great was that!

I was on an 8th grade trip to Washington and game 7 was being played on the way home ..... I had my transistor and was listening very attentively..... when we stopped in Delaware for bathroom break I asked sister Dominic if I could play the radio over the buses pa.... she knew how crazy I was about sports and she allowed the class to listen together .. .. one of my happiest moments ... I absolutely loved that Knick team .... Willis was my guy but I loved them all

Five in a row! First time since 2014 (was the the year of Linsanity?). This team is fun to watch and a nice diversion from the Yanks loss to the Rays on Friday. Randle seemed off his game about a week ago. He now seems back to playing his best. He is the star with a new costar every night (Rose, Barrett, Peyton).
