At least they leave the 1st OT alone, like I wish MLB would do for the 10th inning (at least). Least believable statement: "The overtime recommendation was based on player safety ..." [No doubt a concern expressed by ESPN, et al.]

Beavs (3-1) played at USC last night, and for the first time since I was in first grade (1960), beat their butts there, 45-27...the losing streak there had stood at 24.

Probably some pretty accurate forcasting here by a FB poster.....
“I think OU and Texas were the first dominoes and now USC and UCLA are the next dominoes, and I don't think we're done. We don't have to agree with it. We can jump up and down if we're traditionalists. What in the heck's going on with OU and Texas in the SEC and now USC and UCLA in the Big Ten? Keep your seatbelt on, because they're not done."
"It's very, very hard for the ACC, the Big 12 and the Pac-12 to compete with the Big Two. And honestly, I think that's our future. I haven't spoken with anybody, but I think that's where this thing, when the dust settles, that's where we're going to be: with about 50 to 55 teams, half of them in the Big Ten, half of them in the SEC. For simplifying it, think AFC-NFC in the NFL. To have Saturdays, you're gonna have three divisions: West, Middle and East, or South, and that's what it's going to be. I think there's gonna be some very tough decisions, because you're gonna keep out a lot of teams that want to be a part of this future and they're not going to be invited. So it's going to be more of the haves than the have nots in big-time college athletics."

Well, the realignment politic$ and money news is on the back burner for now, fine with me.
Loving this season so far, a menu of some unreal upsets, exciting games, at least one wonderful blowout, early season craziness.
My boys are 2-0 with a convincing W over Boise State in thee opener, and a breakthrough W (first ever there for us) on the road at the hot (100° at kickoff), literally, mad house known as Fresno State, Beavs walkoff, last second TD.
The ducks get their feathers handed to them by Georgia, then post 70 on the Eastern Washington School for the Blind....not too impressed so far.

Well that sucks, but thanks for the update Norks, may they keep moving forward! Know the feeling, Beavs blew one late to USC, outplayed em, led most of the way, lost very late on really dumb interceptions, otherwise 7-1. But they bounced back well from that.
