Verdugo playing great for us. Bad time to lose him.
I wish a hearty Mazel Tov to Alex and his wife on the birth of their child.

Why Narvaez? If you wanted a catcher, Torrens can play in the OF.

Need to get Jesus Rodriquez moved up the system. He’s another Swiss Army knife and unlike Jones, Trammel and Grisham, he seems to be able to hit the baseball

Glad to have Verdugo back. We need him back in the cleanup slot. When he was gone we had GC in that spot striking out regularly. Stanton, Judge and Gleyber have really made runs scarce. We have scored 4 runs in 3 games in Baltimore, you can’t win like that. Anyway, welcome back Alex and I have enjoyed hearing how happy and appreciated he feels here.

"Dugie will be back in the cleanup spot tomorrow. With the long travel, I just want to get him settled and ease him in."
Aaron Boone also said Alex Verdugo got in around 7 am this morning.

Except he didn’t bat clean up.
He did better than most in lineup with one eye shut…

Alex Verdugo (6-foot) said it's "humbling" to bat cleanup between Aaron Judge (6-7) & Giancarlo Stanton (6-6).
"You're looking down at me... I'm like the small guy in the group, but honestly, man, I love it. I really do."

Verdugo was often in Cora the Cheater's doghouse. The cheater actually benched Verdugo twice last season, once for not hustling and once for tardiness.
Verdugo so far seems to like the Yankee way of life better than his old one. Will continue to monitor. He pimped that dinger off of Verlander a bit but that's his thing I suppose. I prefer they put the head down and just run the bases.
