Thanks lefty! Gonna try to check in more often now that I get all the games again. Hope you’ve been living well jrem. Seems like yesterday you moved from Binghamton and headed to the desert. How long has it been? Life is good... well as good as this covid thing allows. I want to say my last post was maybe 9 years ago? Moved to Vegas early 2012 kicked a** there for 2 years playing drums full time then things fell apart as the band broke up and unemployment was around 12% so I went to Austin for a year. Came back to visit Binghamton Christmas of 2015 and met a girl. She couldn't move to Texas so I moved back home. Fell madly in love and married her. We bought a house and we spend our free time doing crafts in our basement together. Thanks for asking buddy! And now you all know the rest of the story...

Tomorrow will mark the 10th year of Phil’s passing. I probably think of him everyday. Often think with all his creatively and genius he’d likely have been a pioneer when Podcast technology became available. For those that never met him he was a wonderful person with a great, loving family. Phil started in the early 90s publishing a Yankee Newsletter where he would write a few well research historical stories. He would send the editions to the Scooter. During one Yankee broadcast when they were playing Texas on a Saturday night Scooter mentioned that Huckleberry Phil Speranza. I’ll never forget that. I’m attaching photos. I took. Our site banner we took the pictures during his birthday party at Yankee Stadium. What a day to remember. I’m certain he’d be proud this forum is still going approaching 30 years. 😂

Nice tribute, John. He was quite a guy, though you knew him much longer than Sue and I. Not sure I remember hearing that the Scooter referred to him as a huckleberry. Quite an honor.
We saw his better half Maureen and niece Caity last homestand, and they both asked after you of course.
10 years. Good of you to remind us. Miss you, Phil.

Hard to believe it's been 10 years. I didn't know Phil nearly as well as you, John, but he was a wonderful person.
