So this is not a Metro story, but the NBA IS discussed here, so......... Like I just commented in a recent thread, I basically do not follow the NBA anymore, excepting my Blazers.....Will always have a connection there, went to their 4th game ever in 70 vs Earl the Pearl and the Baltimore Bullets. So anyway, I had NO IDEA who Jusuf Nurkic was till the recent trade. It's very early, and I fully realize,e that, but we may have just gotten a steal. He has literally revived this bleak season, pretty much on his own, and as I was following the game last night my jaw began to drop, as the numbers piled up to a first in 30 years mountain. Yes, it was Philly, but I'll take it, and I'll take Mr Nurkic thank you very much, Denver. www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2017/03/nurkic_fever_spreads_portland_trail_blazers_center.html#incart_river_mobileshort_index

I fully understand your optimism. With teams like ours we suffer so much a little sunshine is good

I watched the last 6 minutes of yesterdays Nets game. It was a pleasant surprise.

After his huge game, the very next game the Bosnian Beast was in foul trouble the whole game......guess he was due for a downer.
Ya gotta grind out the good to great stuff night in and night out for it to have any meaning.

I haven't seen Joe Harris' name in a Nets' box score lately - is he hurt? He was doing pretty well this year.

Sorry to hear that. He seemed to be a nice person as well as a top player at Virginia.

Big one tonight for Blazers and Nuggets, tied for the final Playoff spot. Yeah I know, zero shot vs the Warriors, but I'd still like to see the Blazers get a shot, and more Playoff experience.

Blazers renewal was short lived, Bosnian Beast goes down with the dreaded Blazer big man curse leg injury a few days ago, minor though it is, and they are left with no true center.....ah well, shoulda known.

Has anyone else noticed the media thinks are only 5 guys in the league this year: Westbrook, Harden, Lebron, Curry and Durant...with an occasional passing mention of Leonard who might actually be the best all around player in the game today, outside of James.
BTW...how Harden gets any MVP consideration is beyond to me considering the fact he plays ZERO defense.

Average NBA TV local ratings are down 15% this year. Cavs down 28%. Nobody cares.
