Would have been a laughable question a month ago, but now with both being dialed in? Judge, 74 RBI, "on pace" for 91 over season, in August he had 26 RBI in 29 games. If he continues with that "pace", he'd have 27 RBI in next 30 games, putting him at 101. Stanton is a tougher case, 71 RBI, "on pace" for 87 over season, in August he had 25 RBI in 29 games. If he continues with that "pace", he'd have 26 RBI in next 30 games, putting him at 97.
I know it's kind of a meaningless stat, but with the division all but decided, it may be a fun thing to track as the season winds down

beginning of the season, I predicted that no one on the Yanks will reach 100 RBIs. If anyone can now, it will most likely be Judge as he has shown more discipline at the plate.
We need them both to make some hay to play in Oct.

Really thought Stanton's sac fly in the 8th was a game-tying HR off the bat.

More importantly Judge hitting .354 over his last 30 games with a .434 OBA 9 HRs / 27 RBI. Doesn’t get much better.

Too many times, the player with the best stats seems to win it, even if he was not on a playoff-bound team. What is the value of Ohtani or Vlad jr - keeping their teams near 0.500 or out of last place ? They should have 2 awards, one for best stats and the other for the player who was most valuable to a winning team. What would be really neat is the possibility with Ohtani. He has maybe 6 more starts - what if he wins them all and ends up 14-1 and an ERA less than 3. Can he be denied the Cy Young ? How kooooool would that be for a player to simultaneously win the CY for pitching AND MVP FOR OFFENSE !!!

I agree with roger and jb.….the MVP has lost some of its luster. To me, if you win the Triple Crown but your team doesn't compete for a playoff spot, then you shouldn't win MVP. BUT....it seems to be clearly based only on stats and not the "intangibles"....like leadership and the will to win. Jeter never had the stats to come close to winning that award, but without him, we don't win as many championships....and truthfully, Jeter may not have been the MVP of our team because Mo would probably be the guy most of the Yankees thought was our MVP.

Jeter was robbed of the MVP in 1999. Chicago writer didn’t vote him in the Top 5 resulting in a 2nd Place finish

I lost all faith in the MVP when they gave it to Verlander even though the team won the division by 15 games

That is where the Hank Aaron award comes in. Then again, I would not be surprised if they give Ohtani all 3 awards...Hank Aaron, Cy Young and MVP, just because.
