If Yanks don't make the WC, it probably means they will finish in 4th place in the AL East, in which case, remind me again how awesome Analytics is.

If they win, it will be despite Analytics. Good tool, over-emphasized. Show me where the two-strike strategy differs from that of a hitter's count and maybe I'll come around.

Hitters approach is up to the hitter.

As fans we all want them to make the Playoffs and hope for a hot streak. This team does not deserve it.

Analytics don't explain why we were 20+ games over .500 with Velasquez at SS and Rougie at 3B....except it proves that Analytics are like everything else.....works pretty good if used in moderation.

Well, the analytics dept failed when Cash finally broke down and brought in some LH bats despite saying for years it wasnt an advantage.

The organizational approach is all 3 strikes are the same. That’s what they teach them. I think it was said on the broadcast a few weeks ago when talking about a minor leaguer or recent call up. Might have even been a comment from a player, I can’t remember anymore. It was appalling.
But this is also the stupid organization that thinks Sanchez going to one knee every pitch and giving the pitcher a moving target is the way to go.

Bingo. 3 strikes the same is observable, but you're right -- I had forgotten about the interview where the guy said it plainly and that it was an organizational approach. It was a minor league manager or hitting instructor -- maybe Somerset but not sure.

Minor league coaching staffs are largely new. 2019 guys mostly gone.

Yankees have no players that I would characterize as coming through the Yankee system besides Wade, Judge, Gardner, Higgy and Sanchez.

It’s an organizational approach. The Yankees are part of the organization. Going through the minors has nothing to do with it. Guys on the yanks being fed it too
