a two-year, $62MM contract, with an opt out after one year
No way Yankees were going to get him. A lot less than he was hoping for.

hope he can make ends meet. i also hope he gets shelled regularly. For Snell, the Yankees’ offer of $150 million for 6 was better. Sure it’s only $25 million a year compared to $31 million, but I doubt he’ll be pitching for more than 4 years

Snell screwed up if money was what he wanted.
With Snell signed now…….
The Yankees keep all their draft picks
#26 #53 #90 #120 #150
It’s a deep draft, the highest the Yankees are picking rds 2-20 since 2017.

We should probably draft a doctor out of a top medical school.

We should probably draft a doctor out of a top medical school. Maybe a witch doctor to chase away the bad spirits

Maybe this is the beginning of the end for Boras

This has been a very productive resource for the Yankees

Blake Snell contract, per source:
$17M signing bonus, payable 1/15/2026
$15M in 2024
If Snell does not opt out…
$30M in 2025, with $15M deferred without interest
Deal is two years, $62M. Factoring in deferrals, union values present day value at $59,396,694

This will go down as one of Boras’s biggest blunders

This will go down as one of Boras’s biggest blunders At the end of the day it’s up to the player. I heard he (Snell) is as dumb as a rock.

The word I have used for Snell since the off-season began is "soft."
We'll see.

I didn’t want him anyway …. I did, but it was obvious the Yankees didn’t want to pay the tax. I was hoping for a differed package like Ohtani. I guess time will tell how he performs

Ohtani package didn’t avoid luxury tax but improved cash flow.

What does ADJ Salary mean?
And we've been here. $46 mil does not equal $70 mil. My insurance company showed no interest when I argued that my $100 (whatever) now wouldn't be worth $100 by the time the policy expired.
