I’m ok just very sore and in pain. Defibrillator implanted in my upper left side under the shoulder. For the next few days I won’t have much use of my left arm. Each day I should feel better. For the next six weeks I can’t lift my left arm high also won’t be able to lift anything heavy like a case of water.

Please be well and stay well. We're all rooting for you, John. Thank you. I have a long road ahead. Trying to get my heart fraction rate better. Hope is the device will assist over the coming months. Last test I was in the real danger zone.

In the danger zone with the new device? Do they have to tweak it? Our thoughts are with you. Doctor has ordered a new Echocardiogram test for me but wants me to wait a few more weeks before scheduling. My fraction rate 25 to 30% is so low.

I am sorry for you. Really. And I will think and say a prayer for you. I have a pacemaker. I’ve had just about everything. EKG’s, nuclear stress tests, echocardiograms, and a couple of cardio catheterizations.
A couple of years ago, 2022, I had some kind of heart failure, some kind of AV block and I don’t understand medical terms easily. My heart rate was down to 40. I called an ambulance. They couldn’t get the wires for the pacemaker in through my left side because it’s all occluded there due to radiation from the cancer treatments I had back in 1990. So they put it in through my right shoulder. Doctor said I have a 40% blockage in one artery in my heart. He isn’t concerned. I take a blood thinner and 40mg of Simvastatin. I have one of those Meditronic devices here at home which monitors the pacemaker and can communicate with the clinic if it sees something it doesn’t like. I have it checked remotely and I go to their office and she holds some kind of device up to my pacemaker to see how it’s working. My condition is not the same as yours is. My pacemaker is very prominent as it shows through my skin as a big lump.
I have had a lot of fun with the doctors through the years. Cancer three times, a mini stroke, carotid artery surgery.
Sinus surgery and a bunch of nasty diseases. I always say though, somebody out there is worse off than me.

Just saw this, John. Very sorry to hear about your latest issues, but glad to see the docs seem to have a handle on it. Best wishes for your continued improvement.
Dutch - wow. You've been through alot (more than any one person I know), but you're one tough hombre. Keep it up.

Coming in late. Sorry. Need to visit onboard more often.
Please let us know what you need, John. You're a great man, and a great Yankee fan. Not sure what you need, but we need you!
