This weekend Fat Mouth Top Step hit a player on the pirates in the head. Beaned him. Period. Afterwards he said that the batter has got to get out of the way and it was not his fault.
Spring Training game, folks. Top Step has said at least ten thousand times that he respects and knows how to play the game of baseball....well he certainly has a strange way of showing it.
That is 1000% classless and complete bush league antics.
Top Step has said he is going to pitch inside this year. I pray he has the courage to hit someone bigger than him and I can't wait to see him get his big fat mouth shoved up his rear end.

Bucs' Duffy to Schilling: 'Take responsibility'Associated Press
BRADENTON, Fla. -- Pittsburgh's Chris Duffy said criticism from pitcher Curt Schilling after being hit in the head by the Boston ace is unwarranted. Duffy sat out Sunday's exhibition game against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays because of a mild concussion sustained a day earlier when he was hit by a pitch. Schilling said Duffy should have been able to avoid the fastball.
"I don't blame Curt Schilling for what happened because I know he wasn't trying to hit me, especially in an exhibition game," Duffy said. "I understand he is working on pitching inside more, but sometimes you've just got to take responsibility. You've got to go about it in a classy way.
"If he wants to pitch inside, that's fine, but he did hit me in the head. He threw the pitch up and in."
Duffy said he couldn't be sure there was any possibility he could have avoided the pitch until he watched a replay.
Schilling felt Duffy leaned into the pitch. Duffy, though, said he shouldn't be faulted for that approach.
"I can't stand so far off the plate that I just let him keep getting me out on the outside corner with pitches I can't reach," Duffy said.
The Pirates haven't said when Duffy, who plays center field, will return to the lineup.
Pittsburgh first baseman Sean Casey sat out two games after he was hit in the head by a pitch from Cincinnati Reds left-hander Michael Gosling on Wednesday. Most likely, the Pirates will keep Duffy out until Wednesday because they have Tuesday off.
After being hit, Duffy was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital for a CT scan, which was negative. Duffy said he felt fortunate that he walked away from the beaning without so much as a headache. Pittsburgh won 10-7 on Saturday.
"I felt just a little woozy right after I was hit, but that was it," Duffy said. "I really feel like I could play right now. The Pirates are taking precautions by keeping me out of the lineup and I understand that. I'm just glad I'm feeling good."
Duffy, 25, made his major league debut last season when he played in 39 games for the Pirates, batting .341 with one home run and nine RBI. He also batted .308 with seven homers, 31 RBI and 17 stolen bases in 39 games with Triple-A Indianapolis.
Duffy missed the last five weeks of the season with a torn left hamstring.

YankinIt...somethings don't need to be said...the title of this post is one of em...the World knows. If the guy said half of what he says right now he'd still be the biggest jackass in MLB.

Funny how YI never said anything bad about Clemens when he beaned Piazza in the head on purpose. Double standards I guess.

I don't think Rocket ever said anything about Piazza needing to learn how to get out of the way of the ball. Besides, Rocket is a living legend. Schilling just wishes he was.

For what he did in the 2004 ALCS and WS, Schilling will always be a legend in Boston. Damon would have been, too, but that was before the Caveman turned into a corporate executive.

Does anyone recall any other pitcher that hit a batter in the head saying that the batter should have gotten out of the way?? Schilling said Duffy should have been able to avoid the fastball. "I don't blame Curt Schilling for what happened because I know he wasn't trying to hit me, especially in an exhibition game," Duffy said. "I understand he is working on pitching inside more, but sometimes you've just got to take responsibility. You've got to go about it in a classy way. "If he wants to pitch inside, that's fine, but he did hit me in the head. He threw the pitch up and in." The ONLY problem was that Schilling had the nerve to blame the batter for getting hit in the head. Remember the scene in the diner from 'Dumb and Dumber" where Carey and Daniels put lots of hot peppers on the hit man's hamburger? Perhaps next time Schilling can stand over the batter that gets hit in the head, pointing and laughing. I wonder what Don Zimmer thinks about Schillings comments. What Schilling did was just part of the game.....what Schilling said was way over the line. No spin can be put on this one, folks.... Duffy's comments were classy....... were Schilling's comments just "Curt being Manny"?? I would hope Schilling will be a man and apologize..... NOT FOR HITTING DUFFY.... but for blaming Duffy for being hit in the head.

Clemens did not bean Piazza on purpose, no matter what RSN may believe - of course, RSN also believed that Petey never threw at anybody.
Roger called after the game to apologize - compare that to what Schilling did.

MLB.com is part of the anti-red sox conspiracy. According to the player stats at MLB.com, Damon didn't spend his first 11 years with the red sox...... in fact he spent LESS time with the red sox than he did the Royals. It's just another example of the global conspiracy to re-write history in a manner that doesn't favor the red sox. Johnny Damon was born as a member of the sox. He wasn't drafted and developed by the Royals. He didn't sign with the red sox as a free agent. Were any of that true, it would be laughable to consider him a national hero when he arrived as a free agent..... and a traitor when he left as a free agent. It would make me wonder whether he signed a contract with the red sox or if it was something engraved on a stone tablet. Can't the red sox fans sue Damon??

"I'm sorry, Mike, the next time I will throw a bat at you and say that I thought it was the ball". David, don't be so naive.

Brian, Please, this is so old (and you guys get on us for mentioning Coward-Tek's crap). But, if you look at the replay, Clemens isn't even looking at Piazza when he threw the bat. Maybe he was trying to fake Mike out? And whatever you believe about that, it's a fact that he did call over to the Mets' clubhouse after the beaning to apologize. If you choose to believe it didn't happen, that's your problem. Still, since this started about Schilling - blaming the victim for not getting out of the way? That's just a complete lack of class. Guess it's a tradition in Boston - Pedro threatening the Babe, then Posada, throwing Zim to the ground, being a head-hunter in general, then Arroyo becoming another head-hunting punk. Now Schilling beaning a guy and blaming him for not getting out of the way. Pathetic.

Way past-his-prime-Posada just has to learn to shut up and stay seated in the dugout. You got it all backwards with Zim. He is the one that threated Pedro, remember? Pedro didn't charge him like a bull, it was the other way around. Arroyo? You can't be scared of him, can you? Please.

Hey, the Sox sold Babe, don't blame him for all your misery, blame Harry Frazee.
Pedro's lucky Jorge didn't charge him instead of Zim - but there's still no excuse for shoving an old man to the ground. I can't believe you're defending Petey.
I'm not scared of Brandon, and I doubt anybody else is, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a head-hunting punk, just like Petey.

I don't care if your old, young, man, woman, bear, cat, or a donkey, if something is charging me, they are going down. Zimmer was halfway down before he even got to Petey. Petey just grabbed him by the ears and tried to guide his fall to make it a little easier. Of course it will be hard to throw a 1000lb grizzly to the ground.

What Schilling did to this kid is similar to a guy pointing a gun at someone, firing, and saying, "Why didn't he get out of the way, that way he wouldn't have been killed." Maybe Schilling should come to bat again so that he can remember how little time you have to react to a 90 plus fastball coming in. There's just about a fraction of a second, simply not enough time. He's just a sad case of a christian, who kisses his crucifix on the mount and says a prayer, only to do his thing. He just doesn't have any class!

Oh, Zim was charging so fast that Petey couldn't get out of the way? And he tried to guide his fall to make it easier? Brian, I've got to have some of what you're smoking, it's obviously really good stuff.

I didn't say anything that is not true, Soxfan. If anything, it's mr. Schilling that should take his crucifix kissing to the dugout where he won't be watched by millions, only to go out and do his thing. There, he can do it and if he beans someone, at least they won't have to say he's a bad christian...

If Piazza moved as quick in the batters box in the initial confrontation as he did getting down the line into the path of the broken bat he would have never got hit in the first place.
