Where's Goo? Im going to game six, at the Garden. LETS GO RANGERS!!! I got to admit, looked like a goal to me last night, but those are the breaks! I actually thought they made the right call, personally. In order to reverse the initial call, the replay would have had to show incontrovertible proof that the puck crossed the goal line completely -- and my eyes honestly didn't see any white between the puck and the goal line. It was very close, though.
Anayway, whatever happens from here, the Blueshirts have already given the Sabres a pretty good run for their money. I was gagging big time for the review to go my way, but Toronto didn't see it that way. There's no doubt in my mind it was a goal, but without conclusive visible proof it wasn't gonna happen. I agree, they made the right call, but it would have been fun to see Lundqvist get burned moving out of his crease.

Indeed the puck may very well have crossed the line when it was under Lundqvists's pad, but of course the cameras have no way of catching that. That play was a textbook example of why a goalie has no business going behind his net to handle the puck amid that kind of traffic, and Lundqvist literally came within a fraction of an inch of paying for it very dearly. The kid made a very nice recovery, though.
By the way, Chris Drury is hell of a hockey player, whom I would love to see wearing Black & Gold. But the B's have some serious salary cap constraints, and they'll probably make landing a proven No. 1 netminder their top priority this offseason, so that may just be a pipe dream.

The Sabres are so deep sometimes Drury and Briere get lost in the line changes. But those two are fun to watch.
I give the Rangers credit for taking Buffalo out of their dump and chase game. They were playing the body all night long which is the way to go against that kind of speed.

Hey Phil, whats up with your Devils? Brodeur. I have been saying for years that Brodeur owes a lot to Stevens and Niedermeyer not to mention Kenny Danyko. Without them he is just average. He would get wins by facing under 20 shots per game whil goalies like Mike Rector would face 40 SOG give up 3 goals and lose. Plus they need to rest him at least once a week during the regular season, he started all but three games this year and they are paying for it. He is tired now and Clemenson is never ready because of lack of work. Plus he is a lot like Mike Mussina, always has something or someone to blame. Rangers got hot at the right time unlike last year. Buffalo is no push over and they aren't even playing their best.
