Poster's here will be familiar with my disenchantment, (on occasion), with Mel and his handling of the staff. I felt our rotation came out of the gate slow, and unprepared for the season. I layed that at the feet of Mel Stottlemyer. I am laying this at the same pair of Nike's.
Last time out, Brownie, notorious this season for getting hammered early and then settling in, at the behest of Mel, pitched a full inning in the pen before the game started, and it paid off. Brownie's first few innings were much better than we have seen in the recent past.
I credit Mel with an excellent and innovative change in Kevin's pre-game warm up. It paid dividends immediately.
Look for the same type of preparation tonight. It worked, so to abandon it now would be foolish.
Nice going Mel, and thanks for showing me you can still take the dogs to school and make them hunt!
Look for another strong outing from Kevin. I am.
EVEN GOD LOVES THE NEW YORK YANKEES!!!

Didn't realize it was Mel's urging that got Brownie to try the new routine. Nice work, Mel. Now, fix RJ's groin, please.

Hope that new routine keeps getting the same results we saw on his last outing. If the bats keep awake today, he could start improving that record. A good Kevin Brown would help a lot considering our current play and the recent injuries...

And so... Here we go again!! Kevin Brown records an out, along with five earned runs... The never ending story continues...

Maybe Mel has to have Brown-man warm up for two innings before he pitches for real. Tonight in Tampa, it didn't work. Maybe we should hire and bring in as a consultant, Leo Mazzone and see what he can do with/for our ailing staff! As I said before, what dah hell is the problem? Hey, I got cut from Little League, and (I think) I could whack Brownie!

RJ, if you've got a pulse, you could hit Brownie. And when did Doug Waechter become a CY contender?

"Look for another strong outing from Kevin. I am." Goo, no more predictions. It makes you look bad.
