I can't remember the last time a Yankee hit a fly ball and I was screaming at the TV for the opposition to catch it, but it happened last night. If Hollins does not make the catch, Posada has two strikes with the runner, Sheffield, still on third with one out. Posada MAY have subsequently driven him in, or if not, Matsui did follow with what would have been a two-out RBI single. Nevertheless, I'm a big believer in the bird-in-the-hand philosophy, and I was delighted Hollins that made the nice running grab in foul territory, allowing Sheff to cross the plate with run number three.

Yeah, and I rather enjoyed Hollins' misplay on the pop to short right.
Talk about wanting to crawl under the second base bag.

Hollins first day in the bigs was not one that he'll want to remember, at least as far as his fielding went.
