He has some good points, but I think some of his speculative arguments on #13's behalf are weak.

Let's just suppose for a minute that ARod gets a suspension for 150 starting in 2014. Can NYY then tell ARod to just stay home for the final 12 games (and post season as applicable) similar to what the Giant's did with Melky last season? They still pay him as required, just don't want him "at the office"
For the record, (and this shouldn't come as a surprise), I'm rooting for ARod in the appeal because I believe the commish's office over-reached...not that I'm a fan of ARod, I just want the process to work.

Now a week or so into ARod being back on the field there is less talk (talk radio) about the PEDs, suspension, etc. and more talk about his role in the Yankee lineup.

The appeal process should work out just fine based on what I read about the arbitrator's background. I'm certain he will be able to assess the evidence and make the proper decision. Of course once that's done unless its a verdict completely agreeable to #13 it will most likely result in a long, legal battle in the court system.
