@jimbaumbach: A-Rod "decided he wants no legal distractions as he prepares to return to the Yankees," lawyer Alan Ripka said.

Anybody else looking forward to the return of ARod? Just what the Yankees need. Another 40 year old DH type.
Just think of how much fun it will be as ARod approaches the all time HR record. All those specially marked baseballs. They will have to stop the game each time ARod comes to bat so they can replace the baseballs with the special baseballs. Fond memories of that special Steiner moment. Michael Kay list his voice every time.

You really think A-Fraud has a chance in hell of getting close to the record (I'm talking the REAL record - Aaron's)? I'm still skeptical that he ever plays again, but even if he does, he will NOT be an elite hitter.

The record he will have is earning $60M+ and not hitting a single HR.

I dread merely the thought of seeing that jackoff step on the field again in a Yankee uniform.

Maybe the year off does him good? Maybe clears his head?
You all telling me that if next season he goes on a tear you won't be cheering? (Bullspit) Besides, perhaps we put him back into his natural position next season, trade for Tulo and put him at 3rd?

Bernz, Even giving him the benefit of the doubt, he'll be 39 with questionable (at best) hips. I don't care if his head is as clear as a bell, physically he won't be anywhere near the player he was in his prime, or even what he was just a few years ago.
And if shows up in pinstripes, I will puke. Cheer for him? Not a chance. Not if he hits 80 HRs.

When I read."put him back at his natural position" I have to think you're kidding. Did you see him last September at 3rd? Slow slow slow reactions. And really, will the Yankees be the only team in the history of the sport to replace one 40 year old shortstop with another? Please tell me you were joking.

WRT to positioning, tongue was planted firmly in cheek...everything else, I was serious.
