Brayan Alcantara, 21, will be suspended for 72 games without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol
TAMPA, Fla. -- Yankees minor league pitcher Brayan Alcantara, 21, will be suspended for 72 games without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a synthetic anabolic steroid, MLB said Wednesday.
Alcantara is on the Yankees' Dominican summer league roster.
The righty has played three seasons in the organization, posting a 4.74 ERA over 50 games. He's never been promoted past the summer league.
In January, Yankees minor league infielder Tyler Palmer, 21, was suspended for 50 games without pay for using amphetamine, and for recording his second positive test for a drug of abuse.
