Living in Virginia, I don't get to see the Knicks much. What's the deal with Quickley. He seems to play 10-15 minutes per game and gets about 10 points per game. Are they bringing him alone slowly, blocked by someone else, or is there some reason for this. I would love to hear some insights from those of you who get to watch regularly. Thanks. In my professional position as a couch potato watcher, here are my thoughts: 1. IQ in the past few games has been playing quite a bit in the latter parts of the game and has been very effective. Last night was an anomaly !! This was a team-worst game of the season. They have not played this badly before, even in the second of back-to-back games. I don't think IQ made any shots. It seemed like the guys on the floor were afraid to take shots. Everyone was looking to Randle, like Carmelo days. And, even he was missing a lot. Without checking the box score, I am not Toppin even got into the game. By the way, this guy is a project, has no confidence on the court. Runs around like a chicken with balls cut off !! 2. IQ did show me something new last couple of days; his full court press and harassing defense. That was good to see. 3. Rose was all over the place with frenetic pace, all for nought ! 4. The Knicks have ABSOLUTELY NO idea on how to execute a successful fast break. They probably view it as breakfast !!! So many times they pulled back or drove into a crowd. 5. They also cannot make timely interior passes. So often they had guys breaking towards the basket ahead of the defense, but no pass was forthcoming. Clyde could have made those passes from his penthouse booth !! Another illustration of needing a true PG. 6. Their slow pace is not by accident !! They have NO CONCEPT of a fast-paced game. When they try, a lot of chicken balls end up on the floor. Ok, I need to take a break ...the couch is calling ...

You guys are starting to rip me for not acknowledging the Brooklyn Nets. This team is fun to watch and the most talented NY sports team we've had in awhile.

This team is coming along nicely. When was the last time the Knicks were over .500 after 35 games? Go Knicks.

They were talking about Bradley Beal but they’d have to give up a ton

Leon Rose, so far, has been pretty level-headed....let's hope he does not channel Jackson or other past GMs and blow up the team to land a superstar.
My thought process is (a) they are doing better than expected this year, (b) no one player is going to make them a Championship contender this year, (c) trade cheap for short-term interior help, and/or (d) trade for a scorer for non-rotational players and 2nd round picks, and then (e) wait for the off-season to attract a top-level FA, who may be more inclined to come seeing that there is a more positive culture environment around the Knicks.
Again, what do I know....I don't get paid big bucks for sitting on my couch ....by the way, I would oppose any trade involving Quickley or Toppin.

Let's hope they don't make any panic moves and gut the team !! I see that they have 40 mill space going into the off season. A positive run the second half could draw interest from a top flight FAs.
By the way, have not heard much from the Dolan end. Has he really backed off from the team ?

coudla woulda shoulda....they got hosed by the refs tonight. Randle was rightly upset at the end !! Why the NBA does not reinstate the challenge if the team has won it before does not make ANY sense. If they were able to challenge, they would have gotten the ball back to tie. They also had a couple of bad call on the defensive end ...the refs did not seem to be in good position.
Niki did not score, but what a difference maker he was on defense to cut the deficit from 17 to 5 or 6. They played with so much heart in the 4th. Absolutely loved their trap defense instead of fouling at the end of the game.

Bad call at the end. I think Randle was hoping for a four point play and the win. Great comeback and defense, especially in the 4th quarter. This team looks like a team a year away from being a force. It would be great to make the playoffs so the young guys would get some experience for when they make a run in 21-22.
