It is pre-season and early, but the starters are looking good. Brunson will definitely be a big plus. It is a nice to see the box score showing a Knick PG credited with assists

I recorded the game and watched it after the Yankee game.
Just like last year, they fell behind big early on (19 pts) and fought back to force an OT and lost.
But, they looked like a different team. With Brunson in, they were moving the ball better and the team overall looked in synch. Early foul trouble for Brunson gave a chance for Reddish to show what he had. He is not much of a passer but he can really finish around the rim and play defense. Had 22 pts !!
The back up center Hatenstein was a pleasure to watch. Unlike stone-hand Robinson, this guy can handle the ball, make shots beyond 2 inches from the rim, create his own shots in the paint, and play defense in the perimeter. He is also an awesome rebounder. Oh yeah, he can dish dimes too. I would like to see more of him.
Randle was really good, though he fouled out late in the 4th and did show flashes of iso play. But not as much as in the past.
Barett was a huge disappointment - I don't think he made one outside shot. He is an absolute zero if he is forced to go right. He still does not want to go strong to the basket, getting blocked by shorter players. He did play good defense in the 2nd half against Morant, who is something else. Too cocky, but what a talent !!
It was nice to see Rose back on the court - he plays at an uptempo and the rest have to do better to keep up with him.
Anyway, I hope they can build on this.

They were impressive vs. Detroit ( I just saw last 5 minutes) and Orlando. Brunson has been really good.

They were ATROCIOUS in the 2nd half last night......played like they were in a pick-up ball at a high school gym.
In the last two games, they presented a clear evidence of missing an elite player. Randle is pure crap and RJ is shooting like crap.

This is AGAIN a HORRIFIC team I know some here think Thibs is the next best thing since sliced bread, but he needs to go !! YEAH, the players are the ones who win and lose on the court, but it is the coaching staff and ultimately, on the HEAD COACH to prepare them to play for 48 min. Time and time again over the past 2+ years, this team shows up like they were walking through a carnival. It is time to start with a fresh leadership. Look at the Nets without Nash, or the Phillies without Girardi. All the supposed impact of Thibs on defense has disappeared with their last appearance in the post. High Schoolers would be able to score open 3s vs. this on court collection of knicks' crappola. It is also time to jettison Randle. I was disgusted with him last night the way he was laughing at the line after missing the first of 3 foul shots, when they were already behind by a bunch. HE DOES NOT PLAY TEAM BALL !! And, someone needs to remove the burr stuck in RJ's you know what. His play has been totally uninspired....he looks bored !! Oh, can they stop saying Reddish is doing well....he SUCKS !!! Running around like a chicken with head cut off, over dribbling and losing the ball. He is trying to justify his time by looking busy, but not being productive. I will stop now......too pi$$ed with this team .........

They’ve got assets and a decent nucleus … they could make post season … 40 wins is not impossible

yup.....2 wins in 2 days.....on the road...vs. 2 above 0.550 teams.......who would have thunk it ??
Can't remember the last time they won both ends of back-to-back games.
Either I need to keep blasting them or Randle needs to take them out to dinner before every game !!
I read somewhere that RJ was nursing some non-covid ailment...that may explain his poor shooting. Overall, for a guy who supposedly worked on his outside shooting, he is not coming through as expected.
Reddish is getting better and Quickley is providing a spark off the bench.

Barett has become a brick-machine, they should start Quickley in his place and have RJ come off the bench until his shooting gets better !

nice couple of wins at home...loving Grimes getting a chance....would like to see Sims back up in place of Hartenstein....Jericho has so much energy, a little sloppy sloppy, but works hard on the court...
