Name the best guitar riff ever.
Iโm sure if you searched online you would find numerous different answers. The I found, hit home.
The first time I took one of my grandsons for a walk when he was six months old, he started to cry. I tried singing every kids song I knew. Then every song I knew. Nothing worked. Then I hummed this riff and he laughed hysterically. Now heโs about 20 months old and he asked for it by name ( I think he hums it better than me)

Need a clue, like the year of the riff.

The most famous is in Rolling Stones' "Satisfaction", in my humble opinion. Whether is the best, well, that's another story. Tastes differ.

My favorite guitar riffs are on the LP "Happy Trails" Quicksilver Messenger Service.

There are so many and it depends on what your musical tastes are....mine will be a little more obscure. Like...
- Rolling Stones "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" - Led Zepplin (there are so many) "Custard Pie" "Immigrant Song" " to name a couple... - AC/DC (Angus was a master of the riff) "Highway to Hell" - Cream "Sunshine of Your Love"
Man....there really are a bunch of good ones.

For iconic but not best, gotta add In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.
Growing up a big Stones fan, I'd also throw in the opening of "If You Can't Rock Me". I had it for a ring tone in brattier days.
