This year feels so special, I thought this deserved its own thread.
I was only able to watch the 4th Q, but what a nice win. The didnβt lose their poise near the end and made nice plays at the board.
All the love I had for RJ is slowly dissipating.
GOOOOOKNICKS !!

I saw about half of the game. Both teams seemed tight. It looked like a lot of anxious players. I imagine they will settle down in Game 2.. Julius and Brunson played well as did Mitchell for the Cavs. RJ and Quickley did not have their best games. Letβs hope the Knicks will settle down and come home 2-0. Tuesday will be a brain test as the Knicks, Rangers and Yanks are on at the same time. Go Knicks.

Spot checking through out the game and watching most of the fourth quarter is enough for me. Not sure why itβs different for me with baseball. I can glued to the game unless the Yankees are getting route.

Hart was the mvp but Brunson is unbelievableβ¦. Cavs got no bench 4 guys played 40+ minutes β¦. Thatβs gonna kill them this series

horrible game last night......I predict RJ will be "thrown in" in an off-season move to get a superstar or a next tier star....he was particularly horrible......

Let's win the next two in the Garden and avoid a trip to Cleveland. Go Knicks

I apologize for my last post. I thought he first round was best of five. Letβs go to Cleveland up 3-1. Knicks looked terrific in the second half Brunson is clearly the Knicks MVP. Itβs great to RJ, Toppin and Hart contribute as they have. Kudos to the guys who put this team together, nice draft picks and trades. Go Knicks.

The JV came up big today. Hardenstein, Hart and Toppin came up big during the 4. Th quarter push. I think the depth of the Knicks bench will be the undoing of the Cavs.

I'll watch, root and hope for the best - but would be surprised with another road win. I think the series will hinge on Game 6 at MSG.

Morning after, and I am giddy as hell...sacrilegious as it may be on this forum, Yanks are an after-thought. The Knicks' defense in the whole series was just phenomenal and they did not fall apart in the closing minutes. Loved how Brunson kept his poise and took over during the end games......shades of Frazier Robinson was out-of-the-world-worldly, the way he was crashing the boards. I would feel lot better about him if he did not walk around like a old man They are playing defense like the 90s Knicks with Ewing/Oakley/Mason, just not as rough. And, at the other end, total unselfish ball and they can put the basket in the hole. I feel VERY comfortable with Jalen taking shots down the stretch.
Clearly, a lot of (stern) talking was given to Barrett, he finally came around in the last 3 games. Proud of him !
Hart - what can we say about him ...thought he would be a splash in the pan but he has transformed into the heart of the team. #1 priority in the off-season is to re-sign him !!
How glad are we that they did not trade IQ or Toppin ?
What now ? Are we playing with "house money" ? I can't imagine Butler can keep up his torrid pace. Dah Knicks need to hit em' hard and fast in NY. Will they have Randle ? - need his scoring, he had a stretch last night where he man-handled the interior defense. Will they have Grimes ? - need his defense against Butler.
It will be a fun ride....how many here thought at the start of the season that they would make it into the 2nd round AND have HOME-COURT ADVANTAGE ?
Can't wait till Sunday............GOOOOOOOOOKNICKS !!!!
I am also thinking that the team and the organization are going to look very attractive to top-tier FAs. Look forward to what they can pull off in the off-season.

Great post Roger. We have seen how so many free agents did not want to play for the Knicks. This has changed. Go Knicks.
