having Rnadle back is a big help - he is a force on offense and a presence under the boards on defense....

what a horrific game....and losing composure too - maybe that will turn them around.
The Knicks lack efficient perimeter shooters, so when the ball is kicked out, they can't hit the open jumpers. Toppin, Grimes, IQ, and RJ have got to start making those shots. Heat has guy after guy making those shots !!!
They better come out hard next game, or this series could be over - they did recover after a Cleveland shellacking to win that series....fingers crossed....GOOOOOOOKNICKS !

I really think Miami is going to win the championship this year,
But I'm still rooting like crazy for the Knicks.

I really think Miami is going to win the championship this year, But I'm still rooting like crazy for the Knicks. I think you might be right Lefty. We must do better with our perimeter shooting. As long as we are missing there is no reason for Miami to stop jamming the paint and watching us miss three after three after three

Would be nice not to be behind 30-10 after one period.

another frustrating loss....sometimes I question their basketball IQ.....Miami is too good fundamentally...the Heat want it more.....Knicks need to get some good perimeter shooters in the off season.

It wasn't pretty but we are still alive. Brunson and Grimes playing 48 minutes was incredible. How about Grimes getting knocked down, twists his ankle, got up and made a steal. Gutsy basketball. I hope the Knicks bring their A game and make a 7th game necessary. The Garden would shake. Go Knicks.

home court factor - Heat were missing shots that they were makeing in Miami. I had the feeling that they were playing as if they knew they would win it in Miami on Friday.
Knicks' definitely played with more intensity last night, though they made some mental mistakes near the end that could have cost them the game.
Overall, Miami is more talented and the Knicks need to commit to tough play and diving for loose balls from the start to the very end. If they can bring it back to the Garden, that would be something !!

Wasn’t televised in DC area. Amazing that Brunson can play that long on his ankle.

Yes they did. It was a good game.
I think they did enough to attract prime time FAs.
Guys like RJ and Toppin got valuable post-season experience.
Need better outside shooters and Mitchell needs to get a LOT better at handling passes and should practice better foul shooting form AND develop a jumper in the paint.
Thanks Knicks for an exciting season.
Look forward to Knicks 2024 !!
Thanks all here.

After thoughts - the Knicks for the most part were injury-free during the season, until Randle's ankle twist with 5 games to go. I think if he were completely healthy, we would be playing tomorrow. RJ made great strides over the last 6-7 games in the playoffs. But, he is still young and makes terrible mistakes at crucial times. He needs to mature on the court. His mid-range jumper is unreliable. No Brunson....hello last place in the division. What a gifted player !! Cuban probably has not slept well the whole season and surely had nightmares after acquiring Irving. Any early predictions on subtractions and additions for the 2024 Knicks ? As far as I can tell, there are no top tier superstar FAs in their prime available. The Knicks will need to build with savvy trades and moving up in the draft. I predict Fournier and Rose will be gone ...not a stretch with these moves. Most likely, Toppin and McBride plus picks will be be part of a trade package. I am disappointed that Obi did not blossom when DJ was out, like he did at the end of last season. It would not surprise me one bit if Randle or RJ were part of a package deal for a Star. As much as I like Mitch on defense and on the offensive board, that is how much I dislike his ability to do anything with the ball at the offensive end. He could be gone also, if they get a top-rated center. At end of games, I rather have Hartenstein on the floor - he is much more active and hustles for loose balls AND can make foul shots. I want Hart back !! Now I slowly turn to the Yankees...step by step....
