This movie didn't get any respect when it was in the theatres.
I just saw it on DVD and I thought it was FANTASTIC. Of course, I loved Bobby Darin so for me it was like a live concert.
Kevin Spacey has become my new favorite actor along with Denzel.
Just watched Pay it Forward again, for about the 10th time. I always forget that Jim Caveziel had such a good role as the junkie. He is also terrific.
My favorite Jim Caveziel film is "Frequency". That one I've watched at least 15 times.

I was impressed with Spacey's singing talent when I saw him on the Lennon tribute. Plus I always enjoyed his movies. I never saw Beyond the Sea but I will look for it to rent. Are you a big enough fan to know if it was an accurate representation?

Kevin did all his own singing in Beyond the Sea. The actress who plays Sandra Dee is OK. John Goodman plays his manager and he is his usual fabulous self.
It appeared to be as accurate as I remember. I remember he died way too young of a heart condition. Some of the other details I don't remember as well.
It was like seeing Darin in concert. Something I never did see. He used to play NY nightclubs and Vegas so those are places I didn't frequent back then. I don't frequent them now, either. ;D

I like Jim Caveziel in "The Count of Monte Cristo". I thought he did a great job.

Did you see him in "Frequency" That's one of my favorite movies, period. Dennis Quaid plays Caveziel's Dad. The backdrop is the 1969 Mets World Series. Great movie.
