Hopefully not too closely straddling the line on you know what (I can sense half the board diving for cover, closing this string), Dunedin, Fla., is just the most pleasant town. 6 days into our trip, the anger of Florida drivers is palpable, as they beep, cut you off (often using the shoulder and/or bike lane to do so).
Not in Dunedin. All smiles, and welcomes. No, no, please, you go first.
Much of the reason is the area is overwhelmingly populated by Canadians, and ex-Canadians.
JMO, they are better people than we are.

So much so that I thought about retiring there until I realized that prohibit foreigners from buying property and have no interest in allowing old Americans become legal residents or citizens. (Maybe they don’t want to ruin there vibe😉)

Another Florida gem I recently discovered is Venice, FL. Beach town, no or very few high rises and great walkability downtown tons of shops and restaurants.

A friend of ours moved to Dunedin several years ago (NOT Canadian, but a really nice person), and I agree that it's a really pleasant place.

Dunedin is a fun place. Palm Harbor, too. Lotsa Canadians there as well. My grandparents didn’t live too far from the Jays’ training facility. Spent lotsa time there over the years. Grant Field or whatever it’s called these days is a nice place to see a ballgame. Where my grandfather and I saw our only ballgame together.
