So for a nationally televised game they start Tully?
He’s a AAA player who at best may play a few innings as a reliever. He might be great a getting batters to hit ground balls, but I would think the Yankees would want to attract so viewers.

It's ST, why do they care if it's nationally televised? I'm glad they don't.

Seems like every one except the first two are playing for a job. Why is Volpe playing so often?

Seems like every one except the first two are playing for a job. Why is Volpe playing so often? All the road games. They have to send SOME viable major leaguers. My guess, he's young enough to handle it. As for the lineup, well, when George was around, losing to the Mets, even in Spring Training, was catastrophic. At least one reason we're better off with Hal, something Yankee fans don't want to hear. Glad they beat the Marlins. We saw 2 other games decided pretty much the same way. [Either] team effectively handles the opposition, until (usually) in later innings, one kid pitcher has a disastrous outing, more often than not fueled by walks. We won the home opener when Rizzo hit a grand slam after the bases were loaded with walks. And the other day, Cody Morris couldn't find the plate in loss to the O's.

Quite a few fly balls for a ground ball pitcher

I forgot that Bader signed with the Mets.

Enjoyed some time hanging out and talking baseball with John at the game today. Volpe’s defense was extraordinary today and he had some very good at bats with a couple of walks. Looks like he’s ready to have a much better year.
