Granted, the Yankees haven't played DJ at 2B for a while now, but that's his natural position, and he hasn't been special since his age 32 season - just sayin'.

Unfortunately most players don’t age well You couldn't know this, but DL is referring to the theory that 2nd basemen age more quickly than other players, a debate that surfaced largely during the period of time that ended Robinson Cano's stay in the Bronx. I'll just drop the note here that Cano was Mexico's best hitter in their 2-game sweep over the Yanks at the end of Spring Training.

DJL can spell Rizzo a bit who doesn’t look like an everyday player anymore. Strangely, it's a relief to hear this. Rizzo isn't good on either side of the ball. It's very weird and concerning how his defense has been so bad. And offensively, he's got a long, slow swing and doesn't seem to be a power threat at all. Maybe we can use the 'It's only April' excuse right now, but it's something to keep our eyes on A platoon of Rizzo/DJLM at 1B may be the way going forward.

Rizzo doesn’t seem a power threat at this time. The bid elephant in the room is Judge. What’s wrong with him? I think the toe injury is still effecting him.

Initial plan is for DJ LeMahieu to play 4 games in the minors. He could be activated for the Orioles series.

Yankees announce that DJ LeMahieu left tonight's @sompatriots game with soreness in his right foot. He will return to New York for examination tomorrow.
