They just put one of my little cats to sleep. She has three tumors in her liver and the one in her lymph node. I know she's just a cat, but remember her in your prayers. Autumn was 14+ years old and was one of the family.

Our sympathies to you, Patty. I know that pets are hard to part with. Liver tumors are what did in Frodo a couple of years ago, also at about age 14. Putting him to sleep was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

My condolences, Ms. Sojo. I was surprised just how choked up I got when I had to put my namesake to sleep. Pets become a huge part of your life, even when you don't know it.

That is a total bummer, MS. Sorry to read the news.
It's so hard to get over the loss of a pet, because their love is so unconditional.
Hang in there... and be happy to know your lovely pet had a long and wonderful life.

Very sorry to hear about your cat. I have 3 persian/himalyans cats, 2 Shiba Inus, and other little pets like turtles and fish (yes YI, my eel is still kickin' ) They are truly like family and I treat them like family. My condolences to you, Ms. Sojo. Take care.

I love eels. They taste just like chicken! Fry it up and give it a try.

Patty, Accept my condolences. Part of the reason we have remained stateside (and ultimitaly retired from the military) is because of my cat Sardo (Named for the place of his birth sort of Like Brooklyn Beckham ). He is 14 as well and I just couldn't see putting him through the stress of moving (again) as well as (Another) 6 months in UK Quarentine. He is a great cat and I consider him my only son, it will be a very sad day indeed when we have to say goodbye . Heck, he's been to more countries than most people, 8 by last count [shadow=blue,left,300]BernzAMatic[/shadow]

MsSojo, I understand what you must have went through. I have a 16+ year old terrier who means the world to our family. He is a grumpy old guy, one eye, no teeth but the whole house revolves around him. He is starting to loose control of his back legs a bit. (vet appointment tomorrow) but when he is not getting his 17 or so hours of sleep a day he is a pistol. I dread the day I have to tell the vet it is time. I hope I don't hold on to long but as of now his quality of life is good. Of course it helps when three people wait on you hand and foot.

Awww, so sorry, Pattie, to hear of your loss. It's so sad to lose a pet -- they ARE like family. Unfortunately, I can fully empathize as I've had some who died at home and other's I've had to have euthanized. My cat, "Stowy" of 19 yrs. died on my birthday. {{{big hugz}}} Hope you feel better soon~

Patty, My best to you at this time. I know its been said already but Pets are a part of the family. Maureen has a cat who is going on 17 and she (the cat) is having some bad days. I have had several dogs that got up there, the hardest part is making that decision. I alway second guess myself. Saying is an understatement for sure. Hang in there. I know she is up there in kitty heaven.
