Gerrit Cole had 50 throws today at 120 feet. That is quite a buildup in preparation to throw a bullpen down the road.

I'm hoping he is ready to go by June 1. The way our bats are going, we need shutout ball to have a chance.

Boone says Cole could possibly get on a mound next week.

Gerrit Cole had "a good day" of throwing on flat ground, according to Aaron Boone. It is possible that Cole could resume tossing from a mound next week.

No need to rush him, but I’d love to see him back in the rotation.

Definitely don't want to have him reinjure it by coming back early.
Offense seems to be the biggest problem. Getting Verdugo back will definitely help. Torres is having a horrid start.Who would have thought that 1/5 the way into the season, Stanton would be outperforming Judge offensively?
