Tyler Alexander hasn’t had a good start this season, though his last start was good. Hopefully the Yankees can get to him early.

A pretty boring game with a lot of drama at the end

Juan Soto this season: 26 H, 18 BB, 5 HR, 20 RBI
The only other Yankee to reach each of those totals or more in their first 20 games played of the season was Lou Gehrig in 1934 (28 H, 18 BB, 6 HR, 25 RBI)

BP does make it interesting.
If it wasn’t for Soto, the team would be the same crap as last year.

You could have something there . But it bothers me to think of that.

I was PO'd when the Nats traded Sojo (rather than sign him to an expensive contract), but I'm delighted that the Yanks plucked him from the Pads (even though Michael King was part of the deal). Whenever Judge turns it on, that will be a lethal combo.

Soto has saved the Yankees so far.
I don’t doubt Judge and few other Yankees will come around to making them lethal on offense.
All I am saying is if it wasn’t for Soto the team would be a barely .500 or below .500 team. Cash deal regardless of players involved was huge.

So this is how the late-inning defused rally died as it appeared from the Upper Deck. Seemed that the second base ump (Libka, I think?) called the infield fly rule on Arozarena's (?) popup -- scorecard in bag on my back so I'm not looking at it as I wait an hour early to get in today. Oddly, Gleyber almost immediately veered off, as if thinking there was no point in catching it; it's an out, or maybe Volpe called him off? Then when Anthony stopped, poor Judge had to run in like 100 miles, and couldn't quite get there. Meanwhile, Libka waved off the infield fly, leaving Rortvedt stuck standing still on the 2nd base bag when a suddenly live ball hit the outfield grass. I don't like Cash, but I did sympathize with his lament. They should have re-reversed, called Arozarena out, and put Ben and Diaz back on 2nd and 1st, respectively.
That's what I saw. What did the TV people say?

Fully agree.Hopefully Torres and Judge will turn it around. I like Verdugo’s energy. So glad I don’t have to suffer through another day of Donaldson or Hicks

Also, have to say it was good to see the Rays playing sloppy baseball in the Stadium, kinda like we usually play in that insufferable dome.
