I’m in Seattle for the next few weeks (actually Kirkland) and I’m going to try the catch the Mariners vs Braves matinee on May 1. I’m going solo and I’m trying to do it on the cheap, except for eating for which I plan to sample and drink everything that looks good.
I can travel to the game using bus and lite rail for $1 each way. What’s the best way to buy a ticket? At the gate? Scalper? GameTime app?
This is my first time going to a Seattle game (first MLB game since Covid, though I plan to attend a few Nat’s and O’s games soon.
Thanks
P.S. I don’t think there is any concern of a sell out. They didn’t even sell out opening day

This link shows the Seattle Dog www.fox13seattle.com/sports/t-mobile-park-2024-foodI think the Crab Pizza (fresh Dungeness crab, splash of warm butter, dill, thyme, and parmesan finished with a "liquid sunshine" mix of fresh squeezed lemon and herbs on a century-old sourdough starter) will be my first target. My favorite place I ate so far in Seattle, was Ray's Cafe in Ballard. Someone recommended Ray's Boathouse, but it was 3 PM and only the cafe was open. Had their True Cod fish and chips, Calamari, and Rockfish sandwich. All were excellent and ate while enjoying the view of Olympic National Park. I think I could really live here except for the long dark and wet winters. I would hate to get lost in the woods here. Moss grows on all sides of the trees!

Nice ballpark. Haven’t eaten much inside but Seattle has great food in general.
Not ballpark related but if you get a chance the ferry ride out to Bainbridge Island is great and the area around the terminal is fun to check out.

They sell Ivar's Clam Chowder at the concession stands in Seattle. By all means, get yourself a cup or bowl. It is REALLY good.

Thank for the recommendation John. They give a $10 credit with the first purchase. Bought a lower level ticket by the first base line for $21! What a deal

I did a bagel run in Seattle today. I read a blog someone rating all (most?) of the bagel shops in the Seattle area. His favorite got a lousy rating on Yelp, but he knows he’s bagels. If someone told me they had flown them in from Barney Greengrass, I would have believed them. Granted, it’s be over 5 years since I had them

if you get the chance, drive to Vancouver (it is a beautiful) drive and visit the city for a few days - go to Vancouver island also.

if you get the chance, drive to Vancouver (it is a beautiful) drive and visit the city for a few days - go to Vancouver island also. We love Vancouver. Would love to retire there. Too bad foreigner are not allowed to buy property there. When we were staying at Whistler last year a native born Canadian heard us talking about this. He said just enter the country illegally and tell them you’re broke and have no skills. He said the government will provide you free housing and food. Trudeau tells the public they are doing this to provide labor to build much needed housing.
