Mirabelli HR's to tie it at 7. Big surprise the Birds blow that lead... Yeah..... and it seemed like boston was dead when we had a commanding 3 game lead in early august . I'd count boston out if we had a 3 game lead with 2 games to go in the season.... but August is a bit early for me.

Hopefully he is not seriously hurt...if so it looks like our best option is Sidney Ponson.

No problem, 90. Wright has frustrated me with what seems like several starts of 3 or fewer innings, but I'm OK with his solid 5+ inning starts. Did you see the play that he was injured on?? I'm listening to the game and am worried about him. unfortunately I missed the play...my cable connection keeps breaking up. I'll be able to watch the game tonight. I can't watch it live thanks to Fox.

UNBELIEVABLE..... NOW they're showing the Yankees game. They were showing Detroit/Chicago earlier.

I'll cut Fox some slack.... they switched to the Yankees game at the end of the White Sox victory over Detroit.

Perhaps they've forgotten about how the red sox defended their 2004 title. HUH?!?!? They won 95 games, tied for the division lead, and lost to the eventual champs. It would have been nice to win a game, but in the end, we ended up just where you guys did--out in the first round.

Manny singles in the winning run in the 10th. Good guys win, 8-7. Manny extends his hitting streak to 27.

Well at least Ortiz didn't get the winning RBI.

It goes to show you how much the O's stink. Couldn't hold the lead. That's why they are where they are.

Yea it would have been nice, for the O's to pull it out, but they really stink. Bruce Chen? Come on, give me a break. Sox got the Tigers coming up for a three game set, so we have to take advantage of the Orioles coming into the stadium. Nice win today.... still left alot of men on base though but ill take every win, anyway this time of year!

It would have been nice to win a game, but in the end, we ended up just where you guys did--out in the first round. My quote was in response to 90's post about FOX not being able to resist reminding everyone about the 2004 ALCS. I could understand if the Yankees were playing the red sox, but the Angels?? I wonder how often they show shots of Aaron Boone, for example, when the red sox play the Orioles. Wouldn't make a bit of sense.... unless the point was to rub it in to sox fans. When the red sox 2004 title gets glorified more than the Yankees three-peat..... I am quick to ask about title defense. When I see David Ortiz highlights (not updates from THAT DAY'S game....but highlights from a previous red sox victory) during a Yankees/ BLUE JAYS game..... and when my last memory of the red sox 2004 title team is Manny Ramirez holding up a sign calling out Derek 4-Ring First Ballot HOF'er Jeter.... I will ask about title defense as often as FOX, ESPN and co. mention the Yankees blowing a 3 game lead in the ALCS.
