Stuck watching on Fox, but luckily Buck's not here (Boston, or football? Don't answer. I really don't care.)
But as the analyst for the game, Tim has not only read from his Vlad Guerrero script, but missed that it was Juan Rivera and his familiarity with Yankee Stadium right field (played most in left, but played there too) who has twice played caroms correctly to hold potential doubles to singles. The one to Abreu just cost us a run.
YANKEE BASEBALL!!!

Please Knucks, let's respect older people who suffer from senility! It took him 5 innings to realize Rivera was the RFer and that Vlad was DHing today....

Its true that Tim didn't do the best job analyzing the game...But I rather listen to a blind man call the game instead of Buck.

I just cut and pasted this message link and mailed it in to Fox Reality with the following message. Reality is that McCarver $ucks as a baseball analyst. He's well past his prime. Hate to be crude but sometimes that's the way it is. Their coverage is crude. I saw the game on the radio today. I refuse to waste a wonderful Saturday afternoon indoors listening to McCarver mishaps. Heck, is Kiner still around

Heck, is Kiner still around Ralph Kiner is still around on SNY, the poor man has suffered from Belles Palsey and heck it really shows badly. He has to go down as one of the broadcast greats in the game as well as a player. Listening to him in the booth I just can't help feeling sorry for him. I admire his determination and desire to work but SNY has to keep him from embarassing himself. Maybe tap his vast baseball memory for a limited role.

Regarding Kiner, I didn't mean any disrespect and was totally unaware of his illness. I haven't watched a Mets broadcast in several years. I just remember him as the king of the malaprops during his glory days with Lindsay Nelson and Bob Murphy. They were a great team and Kiner was a great player and broadcaster.

Wasn't it Dick Stockton doing the play-by-play? He's gotten incredibly senile, too. It's amazing listening to him try to announce a football game, and he had several boo-boos on Saturday as well. He and McCarver made a great team.
