:DThank God! I would rather face the Enemy than these Angels, who have been nothing but trouble the last few years. Let's hope it's Randy and not Rancid who is pitching tonight.
Alex has been smoking the ball the last few games, contrary to Jorge, who may need a rest. Maybe Alex will hit two or three homers, drive in another 10 or so runs so that the fans that do not appreciate what he does and has done, can applaud him and go home happy....

Yankees send Johnson to earn split
Los Angeles (61-57) at New York (68-46), 7:05 p.m. ET

The Yankees have been conquered twice by Angels rookies this series. So seeing a familiar opponent may be just what they need in the four-game series finale Monday.
The Yankees will look for a series split as they face 27-year-old John Lackey for the ninth time in the righty's career. Lackey is 3-5 with a 6.07 career ERA in eight starts versus the Yankees. He was 2-0 with a 2.53 ERA against the Bronx Bombers last year.
But just because the Yankees have seen him before doesn't mean they feel comfortable.
"Well, he's a big-game pitcher, so he's going to be tough on us," Jorge Posada said. "We have to have a good game plan facing him."
Lackey hasn't been the same pitcher since being named the American League Pitcher of the Month for July. He was 5-1 with a 2.08 ERA in July and is 0-2 with an 8.71 ERA in August.
Randy Johnson will take the mound for the Yankees. Johnson has one complete game this season and it came against the Angels. It was his second start of the season on April 8. But Johnson was still hit with a loss as he allowed three earned runs and the offense gave him only two in support.
Pitching matchup
LAA: RHP John Lackey (12-9, 5.03 ERA)
Lackey has allowed 10 runs combined in his past two starts and lost both.
NYY: LHP Randy Johnson (13-4, 3.69 ERA)
Johnson took a no-hitter into the seventh inning in his last start. He is 15-7 with a 2.94 ERA against the Angels in his career.
Player to watch
Jason Giambi is 10-for-20 with two homers and six RBIs against Lackey. Giambi hit homer No. 34 of the season in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday.
