STEVE WHITE was probably the most over-rated yankee prospect in the minors this past season, however that may change over the season. White is appears to be settling down with a 1.35 ERA, 11 hits in 20 innings but 10 walks with 16 Ks. White was rated the 2nd or 3rd best Yankee pitching prospect prior to the 2005 season. White did spend some time on DL this past season and may be in better condition.
ERIC DUNCAN still a force in AFL, hitting a respectable .366 with .416 OB % and a slugging % of .756. Duncan is among the leaders in AFL. The downside, his Ks, 25 in 82 ABs needs improvement.
BRONSON SARDINHA is having a solid season in AFL, hitting .329 with a couple of HRS.
We need to keep an eye on TJ BEAM has been under the radar last year in Tampa and Charleston. Beam a reliever has some pretty nasty stuff according to some reports is having a solid Fall season. The biggest catch on his stats is 15Ks in 14 innings pitched. Beam could join COX and SCHMIDTT as one of the top Yankee relievers in minors...
Despite some shaky stats, getting hammered in 2 appearances, I still have a lot of faith in MATT SMITH being considered as a possible lefty specialist for the Yankees. Though Smith has given up 25 Hits in 11 innings and 4 HRS, Smith still has the ability to strikeout hitters, 15 Ks. Perhaps he is showing signs of wearing down from after participating a full season in Trenton and Columbus...

Parrish is there...doing nothing. Forget it, RJ- Posada's successor is coming from outside the org.
