I was wondering about 2 injured RHP.....Eric Abreu and Jesse Hoover. Their names popped up on a prospects list from pre-season 2005. Any info on them??

scout.com is an interesting site. A lot of the articles are for premium members only......but there are daily reports on Yankee minor leaguers. Some of the scouting reports and articles are free to read. There were also position by position comparisons of the Yankees vs. Mets prospects.

I don't use either one of them but am interesting to hear what they say. We have to be careful when taking the information from there word for word etc. Other than the names and some stats, I'm not really familiar with these guys too well...

Hoover is reputed to be healthy....and to have the one of the best fastballs in the Yankees minor league system. I hadn't heard of him....but he is a closer....I'll watch his progress, anyways. I like both of those sites......even though it is easy to be blinded by stats.....and these sites don't seperate the actual prospects from stat guys. Scout.com in particular has scouting reports that you would have to filter......apparently EVERY Yankee prospect is going to end up with the major league team?? Lol. Good info nonetheless...including specifics on the pitchers primary and secondary pitches. Check those sites out.......I know your "filter" works at least as good as mine.............
