first off thanks fredo for holding my hand.....anyway this draft thing was not easy.....i was totally unprepared.....i never did it before on-line .....last year my team drafted automatically......of course it didn't help that i drafted 11......seems to me because i won last year i should have gotten the number 1 pick...... .....not sure how the scoring will work so i guess i'll have to tweak things on the fly......

Jimbue: Mark my words. April is the crucial month where you keep your eyes open to see what the sleeper pick-ups are. Look at boxscores as best you can in April. There's always a few guys out there that come out of nowhere. You have to get them before I do.
Looks like you did fine in the draft. I'm listening to any and all trade offers.

Skinster, too bad you picked Juan Rivera with your last pick instead of Reuben Rivera. He could've borrowed some things from your first round pick's locker.

This is going to be fun...very competetive. I hope so, Frankie. I was surprised that we got all those outsiders joining our league. I kept checking throughout the weekend and it was just our 10 guys. Then when I went on to log in for the draft. [glow=red,2,300]BOOM[/glow] 6 more tems and one guy asking if we would open it up to another. The fact that there aren't a whole lot left in the reserves makes it a harder league to play in. It also makes the trading aspect a lot more interesting.

I've been poking around and I can't find the scoring system. What stats are used for scoring and what are they worth?

J-Rem: Go to your team page and you will see a page full of columns with the stats corresponding for hitters and for pitchers.
The way it works is that for each category there will be points distributed. We have 16 teams so each category has 16 points up for grabs. At the end of each day stats are updated. For example: the team that has the most cumulative runs at the end of the day gets 16 points in the "runs" category. The player with the least runs gets 1 point in that category. The total points of all categories are added up each day. And the most points obviously is in 1st place etc, etc...
Once the season starts, it will be pretty obvious how it works. You just want to have your best line-up in there every day.

Sorry Skinny...no good. Dye is questionable at best. Maine will be the #2, possibly.

No need to apologize. Especially when Dye returns to form and whacks 15 HRs in April.

No need to apologize. Especially when Dye returns to form and whacks 15 HRs in April. I know..I was thinking of that, but with pitching at a premium right now, I cant take that risk, unless its for a lock guy.

Would you consider Giambi a "lock guy"?

It is his "walk year".
