Hiya, Metsie! Welcome back to the Bombers' Board!
How 'bout this for a bet? If the Yanks win the series, you have to have a photograph taken of yourself with a Yanks cap on, and a big frown on your face.
That is still one of the funniest things the Good Friar has ever seen!
Nobody here cared about this weekend's series, until YOU showed up.
Bring on the Mutts! Are ya'll still trying to 'Let the Dogs Out"?

Welcome back. Surprising timing...not!
Hey, Brown beat the D-Rays four times, and Zambrano beat the Yanks four times FOR the D-Rays. We're expecting more the mediocre starter the Mets will rue giving Kazmir up for over the next 10 years or so.
Nice move adjusting the rotation so we don't get Glavine. We're the New York Yankees, so don't hold your breath waiting for us to adjust our rotation for the Mets any time soon. There are too many hard-hitting teams in the AL to worry about the Mets.
I hope you cleaned off those upper deck chairs in Flushing. The birds have been having a field day on them since people sat there.
YANKEE BASEBALL!!!

Well, hopefully our boys can slow down Cameron and Beltran. But it won't be easy.
And hopefully Zambrano won't hurt anybody, but that won't be easy either.
Throw one at the Bull Vic!!

Hey, Metsie, welcome back. You actually found us!!! ;D I guess if you were going to dare show your face around here, now would be the time. Glad to see you haven't lost any of your cockiness, no matter how unwarranted. Zambrano the Human Walk Machine vs. Brown the Human Hit Machine. The final score could be 11-10. Unless Willie has to go to the pen - then the score could be 15-10.

I distinctly remember Clemens missing a start (or more?) against the Mets in Flushing, so save your chest-pounding, "we are the mighty yankees" garbage! BTW, I did like that upper deck/birds joke, though Oh, and one more thing--how many moderators does one board need? Can I be one--PLEASE? ;D

To start with, you fail the first and most important qualification. ;D Phil recruited the rest of us when registration wasn't required, and we'd get inundated on AllSports with really obnoxious posts from anonymous cowards. Now that we're only dealing with you, Shammy, Brian (under whatever handle he chooses for the month ), and, perhaps, Metsie (you going to be around after the weekend, Metsie, come what may?), we're probably not all necessary, but, it's nice to be able to ensure that we have you hemmed in. ;D

It has been a long time, Metsie. Good to hear from you. Enjoy the highlight of YOUR season. We have an old score to settle with your ace. I hope you don't mind him missing a start or two after his ribs get cracked on Sunday.
These aren't your daddy's yankees anymore.
