y trade prospects for machado now when u can get him in a year??....u wouldn't!!!.... Because O's are going to deal Machado prior to FA, and possibly this winter, and whoever he goes to is going to lock him up. He will never see FA. Tell that to his Agent.

what would your definition of THAT good, be? hes pretty consistently 290-30-90 and a gold glover (as a 22,23,24 year old...) Try .279-29-86. His slash line (a better measure of production) is .279/.329/.476. For comparison, Alex Bregman is .279/.342/.476. Virtually identical. Jose Ramirez is .290/.345/.465. Machado has won 2 GGs (at 20 and 22) in 5 years. Like I said, very good, but not good enough to give up 4-5 top prospects. If he isn’t good enough, then nobody is...he’s probably the best there is in the game— Bryant? Arrenado? Machado? If I was picking up teams I’d go machado.

And his agent will be fine with it, JohnM, because the deal will be plenty sweet without having to leverage free agency.

These things are awesome, because they are nothing more than an attempt to hype a youngster To increase his trade value.

I'd take Jose Ramirez in a heartbeat over Machado. Bregman is just as good as Machado. It's not like Machado is a once in a generation player.

No Agent worth his salt let’s his premium player give up free agency in the final year. Why work with one team instead of multiple bidders?

Jose Ramirez over machado, Kris Bryant or Nolan arenando? You’re just busting balls. And Alex Bregman? That’s clearly a joke. Who would you consider “once in a generation” players that have come along in the last 5 years?
