Very cool, John! Ebbets Field was long gone before I was ever born, but I love to see photos of the great old ballparks. Thanks for posting!

Mets fans should not, IMHO, take umbrage that Citifield looks back to the Dodgers (and the Giants, to a lesser extent). If I was among them, I would be proud of the team's history in New York.
But they get upset, which makes me happy.

The pavilion end of Citifield's exterior is surely a tribute to Ebbets Field. I've never been there -- does the interior also somewhat mimic some of the Ebbets interior elements shown in the photos above? The roundness of Citi's exterior around the stands between the poles (foul side) reminds me a little of Shea.
