BALTIMORE — As early as Sunday or Monday, the Yankees could have Domingo German as a bullpen weapon.
Following his scoreless, two-inning relief appearance Tuesday night for Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the right-hander is scheduled for one more minor league outing.
That would be Friday or Saturday, according to Aaron Boone.
“(He’s) likely to be with us after that,’’ the manager said Wednesday, prior to the game against the Orioles at Camden Yards.
German has not pitched for the Yankees since July 31, a four-inning start at Miami.
One day later, German landed on the 10-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation and was later delayed by additional discomfort.
Ready to pitch in
Currently, the right-hander is not built up enough to slot back into the Yankees rotation.
