Yesterday I watched my first Liberty game in the WNBA finals. The Liberty may be NY team closest to winning a championship for some time to come. These women are great with ball movement and solid fundamentals. Yesterday they beat the Las Vegas Aces to narrow the series being now down 2-1. Both teams have some great players. The Liberty are lead by their bruising center, Jonquel Johnson. She plays like a female Willis Reed. Their best all around player appears to be Breanna Stewart. They also have a sharp shooter, Sabrina Ionescu She is the player who broke the three point shooting contest. My niece went to the game and reporting that the Barclay Center was full. If you guys have some time check out Game 4 and see NY’s best shot on Wednesday night.

Many years back I was returning home on NJ Transit after a Yankee day game. I never saw so many weird looking females on the train. They were leaving the Liberty game.

This year I followed their women’s basketball and actually really enjoyed it!

Actually, enjoyed it.

Watching the silky smooth outside shooting of Ace's Center A'ja Wislon, I was wishing Mithchell Robinson was paying attention. What a weapon that would make him!!

Alas, the Liberty were eliminated when a last second shot was off the mark. Watching them in their playoff run will bring me back for more WNBA next year. It filled the gap between the Yanks early exit and the sorry of this Giants season. Go Liberty in 2024.
