Name players who were league leaders in the same season in 3 categories: doubles, triples and home runs.

I thought Rice and Mays were the only players to lead the league in home runs and triples (but not doubles)

Found another from 1904 ( led the league with 9 homers) Harry Lumley. Also triples, but no doubles.

What you can find when BAMN’ing Tip O'Neill (1887) led in 2B, 3B, and HR, as well as H, R, BA, OBS,SLG, OPS,OPS+ TB That's him. He was the only man in ML history to accomplish it(i. e. led the league in doubles, triples and HR's in the same season). He did it in 1887 for the St. Louis Browns of the American Association(a major league then). Congratulations, my2cents.

Major leaguer Tip O'Neill has been good, but not a Hall of Famer. I think the same can be said about his namesake in you know what .
P.S. Writing that baseball Tip O'Neill is not a Hall of Famer, I had this most important Baseball Hall of Fame in mind, in Cooperstown. O'Neill is in the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.

As usual SABR does Tip right! sabr.org/bioproj/person/tip-oneill/“After more than a century, Tip O’Neill’s legacy lives on. In 1983 he was elected to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame, which created in his honor “The Tip O’Neill Award” presented annually to “the Canadian born ballplayer judged to have excelled in individual achievement and team contribution while adhering to baseball’s highest ideals.” It also refers to him as the original Tip O’Neill. Leave to Boston to disgrace a good name 😏

Tip O'Neill had really a great season in 1887.
Not only he was a Triple Crown winner(BA, HRs, RBIs), he also led league in hits, runs, doubles, triples, On Base Percentage, Slugging Average and Total Bases. 10 offensive categories(probably some others can be find). So if winner in 3 categories is credited with Triple Crown, what does Crown winner in 10 categories deserve? Decuple Crown?
