Today is my son's first birthday. We had his party over the weekend at our house. 51 people came!! In order to get through all the hassle I consumed large quantities of Heineken. Just a few marks on the walls from all the kids playing around and some messy stains on the floor. Do these birthday parties get easier as the kids get older or are they all like this??
BTW, does anyone need any Elmo dolls?? ;D

Hopp: I found that my kids' earlier birthday parties (ages 1-4) were basically good excuses to invite all my friends with kids over and consume large quantities of Budweiser. That was all fine and good until they hit Pre-K age and then they insist that their birthday parties somehow involve them and their friends. So my answer is "no, they do not get easier because beer bashes are not acceptable at Chucky Cheeses and the like." Enjoy the next couple of parties, then that's it.

Absolutley 110% agree with Skinny...as the dad of 6&7 year old girls, it's no longer drinking parties, the kids actually want it to be memorable (Al la Chuckie Cheese) where as we don't want to remember it al la alcohol of your choice!
Give christian a hug from Uncle Bernie!
Damn were gettin old!

A happy belated B-day to Christian. My boy will be 1 on 6/2. Hard to believe that almost a year has gone by. Hmmm. Brian's boy was born 5/2/04. Mike's boy 6/2/04. If we ever hear from Pam again and she says she gave birth on 7/2/04, I'm freaking out. Happy Birthday, Christian. If you see some picture's you want to improve on with your crayons on the wall in Dad's room, go ahead.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone in wishing my son a Happy 1st Birthday! I really appreciate it. YankinIt, I know you wish poop all over my walls, but the fact that you wished my son a happy birthday really made me feel good. Thank you.
