Good stuff! I hope you get a few weeks off in between. You certainly deserve it.

Congratulations to one of my best 'Bomber Buddies'. We could have done some celebrating at the reunion if you weren't going to be on the Left Coast.
This should be posted on the 'regular' board so everyone can share in it.
From one veteran to another; THANK YOU!!!

Well, Bernie is a 20-year Air Force veteran! Unbelievable.
It's to hard to believe looking at you, so young man.
How old were you when you started your military career?
I wish you all the best in civil life, pal.

Congrats Bernz!!
My brother in law has been in the AF for 11 years right now. Four years in Florida, 6 years in Alaska, and he just moved to Idaho for at least 4 more years.
Talk about going from one extreme to another...Florida to Alaska!!

Many many many congrats Bernz, for your completion of the "higher calling". And many many many thanks for being on that wall for us all those years. The next time I grab a Bud Light, (which after yesterday won't be for a few days ), I'll raise it in your honor. Take care, and good luck!

Bernie: Just want to add my congratulations to the bunch here. The "R" word is one that I have dreams of achieving. I am envious.

Great to see your handle, lisa. You've been gone too long. I guess PDM and Kramer can't be too far behind.

For all your kind words....It humbles me when I look around and see all you guys & gals from all over the place. I know my calling to the armed forces was the right calling. BUT...In military years I have become a relic It is not "My" Air Force anymore and my career has become a "job" filled with drudgery and dred of going to work. How and why it happened I don't understand or comprehend, but like Kevin Costners' caracter in For Love of the Game I know, now is the time to walk out with my head held high For those that are interested, I have found a job with a defense contractor in Shrewsbury, NJ doing Network Security, Certification & Accreditations which is an aspect of computer networks that I love and feel that I am pretty good at. (I also secure home networks and small businesses on the side for a nominal fee...discounts for Yankee friendly businesses ) The downside is that with the June 13 start date, I will not get a vacation this summer, but on the flip side, I will be getting 2 paychecks till October 1st when I am officially retired from active duty. (Note to G.F. I am still trying to find a way to make the US F1 GP work) Again thanks to you all for allowing me to have the best job for the past 20 years and for being the best friends a guy could ask for! Holy Cow!!!! LisaP!!!!!!!!!! Welcome Back!!!!!!!! You have been missed!

and there is a little birdie on this board (who shall remain nameless) that has brought me up-to-date on all the old time regulars happenings. i didn't want to impose (and i needed to figure out how this board works! ) before i posted. reading about your upcoming retirement was just the key to get my fingers walking on this board! hope all is well. congrats, again, my friend!
