Is that OK to discuss now that we have an off topic board? I deleted my post about Farenheit 911 ( saw the movie yesterday for the first time) earlier today after wondering about whether or not that's a direction that Phil and others want to go. Personally, I think it would be nice to be able to CIVILLY discuss some serious topics now and then, now that they wouldn't be taking up space on the baseball board, nor be forcing anyone to even see a thread heading with such topics if they don't want to. Or, is thought provoking civilness in this area just a pipedream and better left alone? Thoughts?

I think since this section is separated from the Yankees section you can discuss anything here. And people can choose to stay away if they want.

I'm with Skinster. I think pretty much anything is fair game here. Of course, civility is still required.

My post about it in the old BTB forum had FARENHEIT 9/11 in the title. The fact that it was lumped in with the other threads is irrelevent. The fact that you could have chosen to STAY AWAY from that thread is not.

I don't want to see FARENHEIT 9/11 listed amongst the various topics about Giambi, the Bullpen, free agents, etc, etc... I know that I don't have to open those threads. But I just think it's better to keep that stuff separate.

Exactly......before, it was mixed in with baseball and it wasn't a good mix IMHO, here we can take off our baseball caps and talk about other stuff if we choose to come here.

Yeah, this board has the potential to become very scary.
