A pair of questions related to stolen bases. 1. Name the player that holds the record for the most plate appearances without a stolen base 2. Name the player that holds the record for the most plate appearances without getting caught stealing.
Hints -both players are catchers -both played in the 50’s and 60’s - both careers were over 10 years

Catchers who played in 1950 and 1960 ... Over 10 years ML careers ...
Yogi Berra first comes to mind. But he started in 1940, if I remember well.
My guesses(the same for #1 and #2):
Bob Uecker - although his ML career was probably shorter Gus Triandos Johnny Blanchard Elston Howard

Number 1 actually got caught stealing a few times

Gus Triandos homered off Bobby Shantz for the only run in Hoyt Wilhelm's 1-0 no-hitter vs. the Yankees.

Pretty sure I was at a Yankee-Cleveland game as a kid, and Russ Nixon hit into double plays in consecutive at bats for Cleveland with the bases loaded and one out. Thank you, Russ.
I just checked - I was off a little - he grounded out the first time with three on and two out (not a double play, obviously). The next at bat came with a man on first and none out, and he did ground into a twin-killing.
