Some obscure player with short ML career, I guess. Hard to find without BAMN option.

Wayne Causey.
I just thought of his name and decided to put it up here in case Jimbue is watching. Guaranteed he'll smile if he sees it.

Another hint
one of the National League’s top pitchers for almost a decade. His adjusted earned run average (ERA+) is better than that of a dozen Hall of Famers, including Nolan Ryan. Yet he is neither famous nor infamous.

Great job again Larry Jackson is correct I was 1-for-11. 0.091 BA. Very poor. That’s a great batting average for that question. I didn’t want to BAMN because if anyone is paying for the premium baseball-reference service it’s a 5 second find. I have a few more 0’s for their career. Obviously some are for players that had insignificant careers. All the ones I have asked so far were for players I heard of. The rest are not. I’m going to try a couple of more for players that had long careers and provide more hints. Some of them are still interesting. Lefty might get the next one

My recollection of Larry Jackson is that he was a decent hitting pitcher. I remember him with the Cardinals.
