There were players, A and B, who were about the same time in the majors and both had the same, rather bizarre, nickname - according to some sources they were nicknamed after a popular film.
Name both players and title of the film.

Can you give us the decade, Zbi? And was the film out at the same time these guys were playing?

Can you give us the decade, Zbi? And was the film out at the same time these guys were playing? Film was released in 1960s. A and B started their ML careers in this decade too.

Clue: Both have losing career record. B has longer career and more career decisions than A. Since we’re talking movies it bounds their careers a little. Any more hints on when they played? (FYI, my first guess was a bit facetious, since not only was one of them not a pitcher, but the film would have had to been silent 🤫

Not difficult - impossible!!
If it hadn't been limited to pitchers, I'd have suggested Dick Stuart - Dr. Strangeglove.

By the way, toys in the attic is an expression that means insanity, isn't it? A euphemism for insanity. I never thought about that before. It was always the title of my favorite album by Aerosmith 🎸
