Two men - A and B.
A - an ex-ML player
B - son of A, painter
B was an author of at least 4 paintings(maybe there were more of them, I konow only about four) that depicts his father in action(as a ballplayer).
Name both father and son and a title of one of these 4 paintings.
BAMN
In case of more than one correct answer(maybe there are more than one such father-son pairs), I reserve myself the right to accept only one I have in mind.

Clue: A - played in the majors in 1920s and 1930s. B - paintings in question were created in 1970s and 1980. That’s a huge time lag

OK, forget about title of the painting.
Only names of A and B(or rather one name) is necessary for a correct answer.

To say the truth, I don't know. Neither of them is very popular, I think. Among them, rather B.

To reinforce my answer ( proactively responding in the unlikely case that it is wrong 🥵)
This from the artist
“about a photo of my father sliding into home against the background of a packed stadium. An umpire leaned in from the left and the on-deck batter leaped in excitement on the right. This moment seemed strangely still. I was reminded of a Greek temple pediment or a modern dance tableaux.
This became the source of my first baseball painting and has been the primary subject matter of my work ever since. I would debate anyone that baseball is far superior to any other sport in terms of its beauty, the range of skills required to play, and its clarity and subversion of time.”

Thanks for saving us from naming the paintings. I didn’t see that information in all my searches. Interestingly, all his paintings were done from photographs
