I mean it’s just one game but the guy didn’t look anything special . But his so nearly perfect command obviously did not show. He is still getting use to the pitch clock.

On the positive side (if you’re a Dodgers’ fan) his 45 ERA can only get better!

May his stats make Kei Igawa look like an ace. Down with the Dodgers.

King did get the win, with an ERA of 8 and a WHIP of 2.1

I hope the Dodgers' quest for a title is "deferred," let's say, at least 10 years.

King did get the win, with an ERA of 8 and a WHIP of 2.1 King looked good. Saved the game for the Padres at a critical time.

King looked good. Saved the game for the Padres at a critical time. I actually like the Padres They never can close it out. They have had plenty of talented teams but no WS titles. Last time was 1998 and they suffered a real beat down in that one! They have had two WS appearances (84 & 98) and only one win! I think when you get to play 50% of the season in that wonderful weather and environment, it might take the edge off?

Maybe thinking about being on the water or the beach while playing. I lived in San Diego for 6 months after college, the longest (though it would shortly have serious competition) time in my life when I was almost totally destitute. Still look back at it fondly.

Not rooting to see him get hurt or anything but a would enjoy him being a $300 million bust.
