If it wasn’t for the defense, Holmes would not be having a 0.00 ERA. Not complaining but boy that was some 9th inning with some defense gems and key outs . Astro fans have to be so ticked off, with Alvarez missing a HR to deep CF by 5 feet, and Berti robbing a for sure double and possibly a game winner and Verdugo with a sliding catch. I was really surprised watching the bottom of the 9th. Typically Holmes is unhittable but sometimes has control problems. Not the case yesterday. Looked like batting practice He was clearly tired. Doubt we see him before Wednesday.

Looked like batting practice Last 2 years he's had some pretty bad stretches in the 2nd half. Last year he rebounded after about a month but 2 years ago he was kind of a trainwreck after the ASB. Then he flips a switch and looks unhittable. Really need that Clay.

I guess back-to-back games is too much for him.
Weaver, Hamilton and Gonzales should all be ready tonight

They have allowed some inherited baserunners score but all in all I am pleased. Where do they find these guys who are discards from their original team and then do well here. Not complaining. Burdi, Hamilton and Ferguson have been great. I know I am forgetting some guys, as we have so many new guys and I have yet to be familiar with the pen. Go Yanks.

What do you think the plan is for Tanner Tully? Mop up? Long Reliever? He has always been used as a starter, so I doubt they would use him in a critical situation,

Yankees have the only bullpen in baseball that hasn't allowed a run this season They pitched 15.1 scoreless innings in the four-game sweep of Houston. I guess Ferguson allowed inherited runners to score? Nobody Gonzalez put on scored? I'm worried about the lefties.

The bottom of the 6th and 9th were stressful.
Somehow it worked out for Loáisiga and Holmes

Hamilton had a Broadway-worthy outing last night, another Cashman nugget. Bravo! BTW, I'm a bit miffed that no one picked up on what I did here. Hamilton Broadway Bravo Get it?

I’m guessing they’ll make a bullpen move today. It didn’t appear they were willing to use cousins yesterday

The Yankees are tied with the Athletics for the seventh-best bullpen ERA in the Majors at 2.88.
New York is also tied with Oakland for the fourth-most innings thrown by a bullpen this season at 40.2. The Dodgers bullpen has thrown the most innings at 52.1.

Well needed rest for the bullpen, plus a day of on Thursday.
Still it would be nice if Rodon can do a Cortes

Nestor was so good. Yes, big boost for the bullpen.
